in the first quarter of 2008, Fiat added a self-shifting gearbox to its Ducato range that matched the performance and economy of a manual.  with the ease of use and convenience of a self shifting gearbox developed specifically to meet the needs of both van users and motor home owners.

In New Zealand and Australia motor home conversions is the largest single market sector for the Ducato with six converters - Jayco, A’Van, Trakka, Winnebago, Sunliner and Horizon – using the Fiat Ducato to meet a wide range of different motor home market requirements.

To meet the demand locally Fiat provides the motor home industry with a range of specialist platforms on which to build their vehicles.
